A tourist plane crashes into a chalet in Savoie, the human toll still unknown

A microlight crashed on the roof of a chalet in the town of Allues, not far from the Méribel resort, in Savoie. According to initial information, the tourist plane took two paragliders before crashing.

A tourist plane, with two people on board, crashed on the roof of a chalet in the town of Allues, in Savoie, this Tuesday, January 21. The events took place at the end of the day, around 5 p.m., near the Méribel station.

“A single-engine aircraft, with two occupants on board, ended up on the roof of a chalet in Méribel,” specifies the public prosecutor of Albertville, Benoît Bachelet. Before crashing, the plane apparently caught two paragliders in flight.

For the moment, no information has been given on the state of health of those involved in this accident.

Numerous emergency services are on site with firefighters, SMUR and PGHM. The gendarmerie brigade dedicated to airport areas is also on site.
