The firefighters intervened, during the night from Sunday to Monday, at 3:56 a.m., for a fire in a house on rue Hent Choat, in Saint-Servais, near Callac (22). Two ton pump vans, a swivel ladder with sequential movements, a forestry tanker truck, a light hose reel truck, a rescue and victim assistance vehicle, a firefighter nurse and a light group leader vehicle, i.e. 23 firefighters. A 75-year-old woman, Marie-Noëlle Faivre, died in the fire. The house was completely destroyed, the fire also spread into the garage of a terraced house.
Mother of two children
“She had lived in Saint-Servais for twenty years, she was the mother of two children aged around forty and had three small dogs,” lamented the mayor of the town, Béatrice Billaux.
A Saint-Brieuc criminal identification gendarme was dispatched to confirm the identity of the victim. Two firefighters were also expected to remain on site until 3 p.m. this Monday, on surveillance.
