A supermarket in the town of Saint-Nazaire (Loire-Atlantique) was the target of an armed robbery this weekend, the second in six months.
The robbery occurred in the evening of Saturday January 18, 2025“around 8:50 p.m., a few minutes before closing,” says the manager of the Carrefour express on Boulevard Laënnec.
Two masked individuals burst in and threatened one of the two employees present with a handgun, pointed at her face.
An employee beaten with a rifle butt
“As one did not respond to instructions, she was pushed and hit with a rifle butt,” continues the boss.
“They are very shocked. One of them, a student who worked weekends, is not expected to return. »
The criminals left with the proceeds, a few hundred euros.
-The same store had already suffered the same fate at the end of June 2024.
“This is the fifth time we have been attacked. Three times with weapons, twice without,” lists the couple of traders, who have run this mini-market since 2017.
This is without taking into account the “incivility” that occurs on a daily basis.
“Every day, we are insulted or even threatened by aggressive customers or shoplifters,” describes the manager.
The police went to the site to carry out initial investigations.
