The start of the school year is this Tuesday, January 21 in Reunion. The rector of the Réunion academy, Rostane Mehdi, said this morning on public service that there would be more than 250 new students for this new school year.
According to the rectorate that we contacted, more than 250 new students will return to school this Tuesday, January 21 in Reunion. For the moment, the number of students coming from Mayotte has not been specified.
Rostane Mehdi, the rector of La Réunion, said last week: “As a public official we must consider everything and in particular the arrival which we are not able to quantify, the arrival of students from Mayotte. It is not the same thing as welcoming a few dozen students or several hundred students depending on the evolution of the flows we will see what resources must be mobilized.
-Please also note that the start of the school year is not postponed in all of the municipalities of Reunion Island.
