Destiny sometimes reserves (big) surprises. Florent Malouda, retired since 2018, former French international (80 caps, 9 goals), notably under Raymond Domenech, spent with Olympique Lyonnais or even the London club Chelsea, joined the army, more precisely within of the citizen reserve of the 3rd foreign infantry regiment (REI), as a combat officer.

Malouda, originally from Cayenne, will join the regiment based in Kourou, in the north of the department.
