Coldplay announces the release of a visual project to accompany the album “Moon

Coldplay takes the visual experience even further. To accompany his latest album Moon the group called on more than 150 visual artists from 45 different countries to create A Film For The Futurea 44-minute experimental project.

Each artist received extracts from the album and carte blanche to create the corresponding visuals, without instructions or knowledge of the work of the other participants. This “multimedia tapestry”, in the words of Ben Mor, executive producer of the project, will be unveiled on YouTube on January 22.

An immersive experience

The film will also be screened under special conditions in Lightroom theaters in London, Manchester and Seoul. Coldplay fans will be able to enjoy a 360-degree experience with 11 meter high projections on four walls and the floor, all accompanied by cutting-edge audio technology.

In addition, the most creative will be able to try their hand at remixing the film via a site powered by Microsoft’s AI which will be launched the same day.
