The Ministry of Sports validates Pape Thiaw. According to our colleagues from Dsports who provided the information, there is total agreement between the FSF and the ministry. The federal correspondence addressed to the supervisory authority dated December 27 found a favorable response from the authorities who have now confirmed Pape Thiaw as national coach.
“All that remains is to officially record the signing of the contract making the former striker of the 2002 generation the national coach of Senegal. This agreement puts an end to a long period of waiting, of doubt which served as a bedrock for all the comments from the press and sporting circles,” informs the specialized site which revealed the name of Pape Thiaw’s deputy.
This is Teddy Pellerin who is leaving his “freelancer” status for greater recognition.
Long paid on a piece-rate basis, “The assistant coach now changes status and suddenly becomes a full-fledged employee. A change which sounds like greater accountability for the French and the end of the precarious status which lasted seven years alongside Aliou Cissé, the coach at the time. Especially since the Federation has made a firm commitment to support and secure the staff,” we read.
