Connie Sgarbossa, iconic singer of the group SeeYouSpaceCowboy, appears to have confirmed her departure from the group via a statement posted on Instagram. In a story shared on January 17, 2025, Sgarbossa spoke in the past tense about her experience within the group, suggesting that her departure is now official.
An emotional statement
In her post, Connie Sgarbossa wrote: “I thank everyone for their messages. SYSC meant a lot to me too. I haven’t fully processed what’s happening yet, but I’m still here for now.”
The statement follows a wave of criticism online after it was announced that SeeYouSpaceCowboy would participate in a tour with Dance Gavin Dance, a group that has faced accusations of sexual misconduct regarding its former singer Tilian Pearson. Many fans expressed disappointment, accusing SeeYouSpaceCowboy of hypocrisy, given that the band had previously excluded Roman Candle from a tour over similar accusations.

A decision announced several days ago
Connie Sgarbossa's intentions to leave the group were not new. On January 14, she had already expressed her discomfort with the group's decision to participate in this tour. In a series of now-deleted posts on X, she wrote: “Believe me, there is no part of me, as an individual, that approves of this… I will likely leave SYSC due to lack of diligence on issues I have been raising for some time. It was good while it lasted.”
-Tensions exacerbated by conflicts on social networks
Sgarbossa's stance on this controversy also attracted the attention of Ronnie Radke, singer of Falling In Reverse, known for his virulent exchanges on social networks. Radke publicly attacked Sgarbossa, accusing him of hypocrisy and questioning his sincerity in the matter.
The uncertain future of SeeYouSpaceCowboy
With the departure of Connie Sgarbossa, who was a central figure in the group, the future of SeeYouSpaceCowboy remains unclear. The group has not yet released an official statement on the matter, nor has it clarified whether they will continue with a new singer or take a break.
