With five games suspended this season in Ligue 1 and the Coupe de France, OL are relatively spared. Only two teams do better.
OL are among the rare teams not to have yet received a single red card this season in Ligue 1. With Paris-Saint-Germain and Strasbourg, there are in fact only three to be in this situation. Rather good student regarding discipline, the Rhone team is reaping the rewards with few players having been suspended during the first months of competition.
The League published a report on this subject mid-week. In this one, we find in particular the ranking of the clubs according to the number of matches of suspension of their players. Olympique Lyonnais has five, including the championship and Coupe de France.
-Two for Tagliafico and Caleta-Car
Nicolas Tagliafico (Stade Rennais and Montpellier) and Duje Caleta-Car (Le Havre and Entente Feignies-Aulnoye) each missed two posters for having received three yellow cards. The third is none other than Alexandre Lacazette. Resting after the Olympic Games, it should be remembered that the center forward was also punished for the trip to Rennes at the very start of the 2024-2025 financial year.
In the hierarchy of elite residents, only Angers and PSG (three each) were less impacted by the decisions of the disciplinary committee.
