“Following the request from the CUCQ, we granted them a period of one month to submit their report,” said Wednesday to Journal the office of Mayor Bruno Marchand.

The latter mandated the Quebec City Planning and Conservation Commission (CUCQ) last fall to resolve the question of the heritage value of the Colisée.

Two scenarios

The body was originally due to submit its report on December 20. It must consider two scenarios: partial demolition or complete demolition.

“The Commission has never had to comment on the Colosseum until now. We have never gone to the Quebec City Planning and Conservation Commission (CUCQ), it’s really the first time,” highlighted last November the councilor member of the executive responsible for Heritage Mélissa Coulombe-Leduc .
