This Flemish city wants to reduce taxes for singles

Kelly Verheyen, Flemish socialist alderman, recently made a proposal that was surprising to say the least. A tax reduction for single people residing in Turnhout. The reason? Avoid discrimination against single people compared to certain households who have two incomes, according to information relayed by the Nieuwsblad.

This idea would have the effect of helping single people but also those separated or seniors who are isolated or who have lost their partner. If today the proposal is not official, it is discussed, assures the Flemish socialist.
