On royal instructions, Abdeltif LoudyiMinister Delegate in charge of the National Defense Administration, received Friday January 17 at the headquarters of this Administration, in the presence of the Lieutenant General Mohammed BerridInspector General of the Royal Armed Forces and Commander of the Southern Zone, Minister of State for National Defense of the Republic of Cape Verde, Janine Tatiana Santos Lelisaccompanied by the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces and a large delegation as well as the ambassador of this country in Rabat.
During this visit, which is part of the consolidation and diversification of bilateral cooperation between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Cape Verde, the two officials reviewed the different aspects of cooperation bilateral and the ways and means to further strengthen it in areas of common interest, particularly in terms of the exchange of experiences and expertise in the military field, indicates a press release from the National Defense Administration.
Mr. Loudyi underlined the Kingdom’s efforts to strengthen regional stability and security and highlighted the Initiative launched by King Mohammed VI, aimed at transforming the Atlantic coast of Africa into a pole of economic integration, an area of shared peace and prosperity, including all the countries of the Atlantic strip of the continent and the countries of the Sahel.
For her part, the Cape Verdean minister emphasized the high priority nature of the partnership with Morocco and took this opportunity to express her “admiration for the various South-South cooperation initiatives of regional scope for the benefit of the African continent , launched under the leadership of the King.
At the end of this meeting, the two parties demonstrated the ambition and the common desire to consolidate these relations through the soon signing of the Draft agreement, currently being finalizedconcerning cooperation in the military field which establishes the solidity of the relations of friendship and mutual respect linking the two countries, concludes the press release.
