Sébastien Simon crossed the finish line of the Vendée Globe at 1:27 a.m. last night, 2 days and 17 hours later the big winner Charlie Dalin. The skipper of Groupe Dubreuil spent 67 days, 12 hours, 25 minutes, 37 seconds at sea.

The skipper of Groupe Dubreuil was participating in his second Vendée Globe, but completed his first circumnavigation of the world solo, without assistance and without stopover.
In 2021, during his first participation in the Vendée Globe, Sébastien Simon had to abandon due to a collision with a UFO.
For this 10th edition, despite a damaged foil, the sailor held on and succeeded in his bet, finishing his Vendée Globe, behind Charlie Dalin and Yoann Richomme. Even shattering the record for the number of nautical miles traveled in 24 hours (615.33 nautical miles).
He returns to Les Sables d'Olonne, the town where he grew up, to sail up a channel that he knows by heart.
