Pro D2 – Samuel Marques (Béziers) will not be suspended after his behavioral incident at Night

Samuel Marques, scrum half of AS Herault, will not experience a period of suspension after having behaved disrespectfully during the Night of evening. He was fined and reprimanded.

ASBH scrum half Samuel Marques was punished with a reprimand and a fine of 3,000 euros after displaying disrespectful behavior during Rugby Night. Drunk among many influential players in French rugby and would have behaved inappropriately towards a hostess, the player would have wanted to order alcohol from a stand which only served fruit juices and sodas and would have expressed his dissatisfaction by throwing the contents of a glass and spitting in the woman's face.

“Making insulting and defamatory remarks”

The disciplinary decision took this sanction on the grounds of violations “in the best interests of rugby, in particular: Any breach by a person referred to in article 714 of honor or probity, any violent conduct or utterance of insulting or defamatory remarks by a person referred to in article 714 with regard to another, manager or not, any non-compliance with the duty of confidentiality, as well as any deliberate violation of the Federal Regulations or the General Regulations of the LNR or behavior likely to harm the image, reputation or interests of rugby or its bodies, any breach of sporting ethics and professional conduct, any non-compliance with a decision pronounced by a disciplinary body of the LNR” within the meaning of the Disciplinary Regulations of the NRL.”
