Appointed Minister of the Interior since April 2024, General Jean Baptiste Tine is no longer the Ambassador of Senegal to Russia. He was replaced by Stéphan Sylvain Sambou. The decision was taken this Wednesday, January 15, 2025, by the President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye during the Council of Ministers.
Mr. Stéphan Sylvain SAMBOU, Principal Foreign Affairs Advisor, pay number 611 465 / C, previously Ambassador, Director Africa and African Union at the Ministry of African Integration and Foreign Affairs, is appointed Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Senegal to His Excellency Mr. Vladimir POUTINE, President of the Russian Federation, replacing General Jean-Baptiste TINE, called to other functions.
