The proposal to host the first Conference of Cultural and Creative Industries was formulated by the Minister of Culture, Mehdi Bensaïd, this Wednesday, January 15, in his opening speech to the Conference of Arab Ministers of Culture, held in a Rabat palace. He took the opportunity to thank Saudi Arabia, host of the previous edition, for the success of the 23rd conference.
The minister estimated that “the Arab world is called upon to meet the challenges of technology». «We want this first edition of the Conference of Cultural and Creative Industries to be inspired by certain positive aspects of Artificial Intelligence“. He thus invited the audience to examine and approve Morocco’s proposal.
«Morocco has significant experience and expertise in this area. The country has adopted a strategy focused on the development of cultural and creative industries as levers of economic progress.», continued Mehdi Bensaïd.

The minister also recalled that several Arab countries are already full of industrial units focused on culture, but that they lack “a platform and a professional market» making it possible to better market all cultural productions in the Arab world. “This common space would constitute a major asset for all stakeholders in the Arab world.», concluded Mehdi Bensaïd.
