Teachers observe a day without classes to denounce threats from students

At the New Louga High School, teachers refused to teach classes as a sign of protest against the violence they suffered at the establishment.

A student caught cheating refused to hand over his phone to the teacher who was monitoring him.

Worse still, the student started making threats and insults towards the teacher.

This situation pushed the teachers of the said establishment to observe a day without classes to denounce the student’s attitude: “we observed this day without classes to protest against this violence that our own students perpetrate on us. We have noticed that the violence has taken a worrying and dangerous turn, indicated Ibrahima Wéllé, spokesperson for the teachers of the new Louga high school.

The teachers invite the academic authorities to stop this phenomenon which has become very frequent in this establishment.
