For the implementation of the Emergency Community Development Program (PUDC) in Burundi, the Bujumbura authorities sent a “ high-level delegation » soak up the experience of Senegal.
The Burundian delegation who came to learn about the PUDC in Senegal had a working session with the Minister of Family and Solidarity, Maïmouna Dièye, in the presence of the Deputy Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and a team from the Emergency Community Development Program (PUDC).
On its social networks, the Ministry of Family and Solidarity explains that the Burundian delegation is led by the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister.
“The Minister (Maïmouna Dièye) welcomed this collaborative approach between Senegal and Burundi, which demonstrates a common desire to strengthen development initiatives for the benefit of vulnerable populations. », Writes the ministry on its Facebook page, without specifying the start date and duration of the visit.
Launched in 2012 with the support of the UNDP, the PUDC is today in its phase 2. This Program aims to stimulate a dynamic of endogenous, integrated and sustained economic growth to reduce inequalities in access to basic social services between urban centers and rural areas.
