The King of Spain underlines the “special” nature of relations with Morocco

King Felipe VI of Spain highlighted the “special” character of his country’s relations with Morocco, calling for further strengthening of these relations within a framework of friendship and good neighborliness.

“We will continue to advance our bilateral agenda with Morocco, a country with which we must continue our collaboration in the spirit of friendship and cooperation governing our special neighborhood relations,” said the Spanish Sovereign in a speech during the 9th conference of Spanish ambassadors accredited abroad (January 13 and 14).

The Spanish sovereign also emphasized the importance of strategic alliances in Spanish foreign policy, within forums such as the 5+5 dialogue and the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM).

He noted that these alliances play a key role in strengthening regional cooperation and offer concerted solutions to common challenges.

Furthermore, the King of Spain underlined the need to consolidate cooperation with the African continent, welcoming, in this regard, the new Spain-Africa 2025-2028 strategy, which he described as a clear road map in this area. .
