Dakar, Jan 14 (APS) – The Armed Forces Sports Association (ASFA) and Pout Sporting Club qualified on Tuesday for the round of 16 of the 2025 edition of the Senegal Cup.
ASFA eliminated (1-0) Ndar Academy Foot in the round of 32 of the competition. The match between the two teams was played at the Alboury Ndiaye stadium in Louga.
In Thiès, Pout Sporting club defeated the Thiéssois Olympic Club on penalties (6-5). At the end of regulation time, the two teams were tied (1-1).
The 32nd finals of the Senegal Cup started this Tuesday and will continue until Thursday.
The AS Pikine-US Gorée match, scheduled for Thursday at 5 p.m. at the Alassane Djigo stadium in Pikine, constitutes one of the flagship meetings of the 32nd finals of the Senegal Cup.
US Gorée is the current leader of Ligue 2, with AS Pikine occupying 12th place in the second division standings.
The matches for the 32nd finals of the 2024-2025 Senegal Senior Cup are scheduled for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
In total, 16 teams from Ligue 1, 16 from Ligue 2, 14 from National 1, 8 from National 2 and 10 from the regional division will participate in these games.
The Mbour Petite Côte team, holder of the trophy, was eliminated in the preliminaries phase.
