Surrounded by elected officials from the canton's towns, the municipal youth council, the presidents of intercommunal unions, Monique Novaretti, regional councilor, and Pascale Bories, mayor of Villeneuve-lez-Avignon and departmental councilor, Rémy Bachevalier, mayor of Rochefort- du-Gard, congratulated all municipal services for their commitment to making Rochefort “a city where life is good“.
He also thanked all the representatives of the established bodies and focused on the next public meetings which will take place in January, under the leadership of Captain Loïc Pinault, new commander of the Roquemaure-Rochefort-du brigade community. -Gard, on the theme of security.
The environment as a priority
After taking stock of 2024, “a year of actions and progress“, one of the most notable of which is the creation of the Bergerie leisure park, an intergenerational facility very popular with Rochefort residents with its pump track tracks and games for children of all ages, Mayor Rémy Bachevalier recalled his commitment in in favor of the environment. He noted the energy renovation work at the Vieux Moulin primary school and the award of the level 3 label for the Galoubet eco-district.
