Last weekend, the Loire Prefecture published a supervisory decree for FC Nantes supporters on the occasion of the upcoming meeting between ASSE and the FCN. Thus, access to the Geoffroy-Guichard stadium is authorized to supporters of FC Nantes, up to a maximum of 400 supporters, traveling exclusively by bus and minibus and provided with vouchers. They will have to go to a mandatory meeting point set at the Veauchette tollbooth on January 19 at 1:30 p.m. They will then be escorted by the police to the stadium. At the end of the match, supporters will have to leave the stadium under the instructions of the police.
From January 19, 2025 at 8:00 a.m. to January 20, 2025 at 12:00 a.m., any person claiming to be a supporter of FC Nantes, or behaving as such, and not being part of the authorized convoy, will be prohibited from:
- Access to the Geoffroy-Guichard stadium and its immediate surroundings
- Traffic and parking in the city center of Saint-Étienne, as well as in the areas defined by the prefectural decree.
The Prefecture then specifies that the possession and use of pyrotechnic articles as well as any object that can be used as a projectile are strictly prohibited in these areas. These measures, taken following the preparatory security meeting for this meeting, are motivated by the risks of disturbances to public order linked to the old and lasting antagonism between the supporters of the two teams. The prefect of the Loire calls on all supporters to respect these provisions to ensure the smooth running of this sporting event.
