A 22-year-old driver was arrested in the evening Saturday January 11, 2025 after a significant speeding violation and a refusal to obey on the national road between and Saint-Nazaire (-Atlantique).

It was more than 8 p.m. when gendarmes from the Departmental Road Safety Squadron (EDSR) spotted this man driving at 215 km/h instead of the authorized 110 km/h, on the RN 165 near the town of Savenay.

Continuing his journey despite orders from the police, the offender attempted to outwit his pursuers by crossing the solid line and turning off his headlights.

License canceled

After leaving the dual carriageway, he ended up losing control of his vehicle after a few kilometers on Departmental 17 near the town of Campbon.

At the end of his police custody, the accused was given a summons to appear before the Saint-Nazaire criminal court.
