It's Bison Smart who gives the information in the middle of the night from Monday 13 to Tuesday 14 January 2025. An event has just been reported to him on the A85 motorway. It's barely a quarter to one.
The accident occurred at kilometer point 78, near Langeais, in the west-east direction (from Maine-et-Loire towards Cher). A motorist lost control of his car, for reasons that remain undetermined, and the vehicle ended up on its roof.
Two people injured
Firefighters and security services immediately intervened. The road had to be closed to traffic and a traffic jam of around 200 meters formed despite the late hour.
Two people, injured in the accident apparently not too seriously, had to be transported to Trousseau hospital in Tours.
It was around 2 a.m. when the road was reopened to traffic.
