The Solidarity and Cooperation Space of the Eastern Region and its partners have organized several awareness-raising workshops in educational establishments, as part of the project: “ For the sustainable management of water resources and the preservation of the biodiversity of the mouth of the Moulouya and its coastline », with the financial support of the French Embassy in Morocco and in cooperation with the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Education and Sports of the prefecture of Oujda-Angad.
In a press release sent to Hespress FRSpace explains that these education and awareness meetings were organized in December 2024 in five educational establishments, namely the Al-Ferdaous school, the Mohamed Adli school, the Rabiaa Al-Adaouia school, the Wad Al-Makhzen and the Idris Ben Zekri school.
The same source explains that the awareness theme focused on the current water situation in Morocco and the importance of rationalizing the use of water. The communication workshops were led by Pr. Sbai Abdelkader, Mohamed Baraho, Milouda Bouyagh and the artist Nabil Lakbir.
This initiative was an opportunity for students, under the supervision of administrative and educational staff, to express their awareness of the need to save water and rationalize its consumption as a vital and strategic resource, through various means such as plays and songs and their interactions with the animators, specifies the same source.
-During these workshops, brochures were distributed to students aimed at raising awareness and adopting optimal behavior to rationalize the use of water and save it, especially at this time when Morocco is experiencing a water shortage. and a lack of precipitation for more than six years and perhaps the years to come underlines the Solidarity Space, noting that at the end of the workshops, a snack was organized and words of thanks were exchanged between the organizers and administrative and educational staff.
