According to information from our colleagues from France 3 Corse, the vice-prosecutor of the Jirs of Marseille, Isabelle Candau, requested the referral of five people to the assizes of Bouches-du-Rhône following the investigation into theassassination of Jean Livrellicommitted in August 2018 in Bastelica. “It should be noted that the investigations made it possible to confirm that the assassination of Jean Livrelli constituted an error in targeting and was part of a serious dispute opposing in particular Alain Lucchini and his allies from Petit Bar to Guy Orsoni, who was allied in this war with Antò Moretti, as well as with the Mattei clan”affirms the magistrate.
A terrible mistake
The five people concerned by this referral are Guy Orsoni, considered to be the instigator (“complicity in assassination”), Antò Moretti (“assassination”), Olivier Demonte, Christophe Scipilliti and Marc-Antoine Mattei (“criminal association”). All in an organized group.
On the road above Bastelica leading to the Ese plateau, Jean Livrelli, an ordinary retiree, was targeted by several shooters on August 23, 2018 while he was driving a black Nissan Navara pick-up . A vehicle which further fueled the hypothesis of a terrible mistake, since Alain Lucchini, residing in Bastelica and presented as the real target of this ambush, owned the same one.
“Clan struggle” for “control over the ICC”
Among the avenues envisaged, that of a settling of scores linked to the control of the ICC quickly stood out. Still according to France 3 Corse, Isabelle Candau explains that “the assassination of Jean Livrelli is part of a clan struggle, one of the objectives of which is control over economic activities deemed lucrative in Corsica-du-Sud and control over the Ajaccio Chamber of Commerce.” An establishment that “has for decades aroused significant appetites over which the shadow of Alain Lucchini weighs. All of the payments of coins have demonstrated Guy Orsoni’s long-standing wish to regain control”.
The latter as well as the four other accused contest the facts with which they are accused.
