The Geneva Industrial Services (SIG) are publishing the resale prices for photovoltaic electricity this Thursday. Thus, owners of small solar installations will be able to resell their electricity to SIG for 14.3 cents per kilowatt hour.
“Compared to 2024, this price falls by 11.4% but it still remains significantly higher than that of previous years,” indicates Christian Bernet, spokesperson, by press release. According to SIG, these prices are more attractive than those charged by distributors in other large cities, such as Lausanne or Basel.
Prix fixes
They are also fixed throughout the year, in order to guarantee a certain stability to individuals. And this, although federal legislation will allow, from 2026, prices to be adjusted every three months, depending on the market.
In addition, the SIGs are maintaining their Solar Premium in 2025. An envelope of one million dedicated to investment aid will make it possible to supplement the federal subsidy. In 2024, more than 1000 new installations will have been installed. Nearly 5,000 out of 29,000 Geneva villas are today equipped with solar panels.
