What are the best connected watches for sports in 2025?
In fact, the brand announced this week the arrival of software version 3.0 for its connected watches. An update which aims to enrich the sports or navigation functions as well as the customization offered on its exciting features.
Particularly practical comfort functions
In detail, version 3.0 of the Polar software adds new customizable dials to the brand’s sports watches. Two new analog dials and three additional digital dials are now available.
Another very practical new feature is that users will now be able to recharge their watch… while recording a workout. A function which should particularly appeal to hikers with the possibility of continuing to record the walk with GPS, while recovering up to 10 hours of autonomy in 20 minutes of charging using a power bank.
Still for practicality, Polar has revised the “ find my phone » which will now allow, in addition to ringing the phone, to geolocate it to the last place where it was synchronized with the watch.
New products for athletes
Obviously, sports watches oblige, the 3.0 update of the Polar software also offers some new features for sporting activity. This is particularly the case on the pre and post training screens, in particular with a more detailed assessment of the session carried out. For swimming, the update will allow, for example, a display of the different types of swimming practiced.
Finally, navigation is enriched with a long-awaited function: points of interest. From now on, Polar watches managing mapping will be able to visualize specific places, such as a café, a restaurant, a monument or a grocery store. Enough to better plan your itinerary during a session.
These new features are already available on the Polar Grit X2 Pro and Vantage V3 watches. Furthermore, the Finnish brand announced the deployment of this update during the second half of the year on the Vantage M3 and Ignite 3. On the other hand, the Ignite 3, which does not benefit from the mapping, will logically be devoid of the new dots. ‘interest.
