Le Tec has activated its bad weather plan in several Walloon provinces due to weather conditions and snowfall. Bus traffic was disrupted Thursday morning in Walloon Brabant and Hainaut, indicates the public transport operator’s website. However, no disturbances have been reported in Liège, Namur and Luxembourg. L
Several bus routes have been canceled in Walloon Brabant, notably between Tubize and Croiseau, as well as between Braine l’Alleud and Wavre. The Tec has also set up around twenty diversions to avoid problem areas. A few lines are also diverted in Charleroi and in the Mons-Borinage region, while traffic is virtually undisturbed in the Center. Western Hainaut, on the other hand, is more affected with many routes diverted.
Le Tec invites travelers to monitor potential disruptions on their line using the bad weather plan for their region, regularly reassessed during the day. It is available on the operator’s website. Although the situation is normal on the rail, SNCB also advises users to prepare their trip and consult the planner who takes into account disruptions. “We remain attentive to the developments of the day,” adds a spokesperson.
