: the car leaves the tank carrier and lands on the roof of a utility vehicle

Accident as improbable as it was spectacular, this Monday afternoon, in . Shortly before 3 p.m., traffic was disrupted near the Clichy bridge after a car landed… on the roof of another car.

At the origin of this accident: the sudden braking of a heavy goods vehicle driver at the wheel of a car transporter transporting new vehicles, at the corner of rue Martre and rue Léon-Blum. A braking forceful enough to shake the cars being transported. In particular a BMW X2 which literally left the set, before passing over the driver's cabin and falling into the void.

The new car, for a few seconds, almost lost all its value. By some miracle, the German sedan did not end up crashing on the asphalt. Before completely tipping over, it came to rest in a very precarious balance, resting on the roof of the utility vehicle which preceded the car transporter. “The person driving the utility vehicle must have wondered what was happening,” smiles a police source. She must have had a lot of fun doing the drawing for the report…”

Traffic was not paralyzed by this accident, one of the two lanes remaining open to traffic. A security perimeter was set up around the car transporter and the utility vehicle, while the BMW vehicle was recovered using a forklift. A delicate operation which ultimately took place without incident. The two damaged vehicles were then taken care of by two tow trucks.
