Here are the best chip shops in Belgium: all provinces are represented except Walloon Brabant

Since 2014, the portal les-friteries.com has published an annual ranking to designate the best chip shop in Wallonia. To do this, the ranking is done using a popularity index, based on algorithms, of more than 1,200 establishments. While it was the Friterie Chez Bryan in Aubange which had finished first in 2023, it was dethroned, in 2024, by Lesve ta frite which is therefore located in Lesve in the province of Namur.

14th in 2022 and 7th in 2023, the latter continued its crazy evolution to seize this honorary title for this past year. Behind, the 2023 winner finishes in second place while it is the King Snack of Neufchâteau which completes the podium.

The provinces of Luxembourg and Namur at the top

Among the lessons to be learned, we note the good representation of the provinces of Luxembourg and Namur, with six and four establishments respectively appearing in this ranking. The province of Hainaut can count on the presence of three representatives while the province of Liège and Brussels can count on the presence of one of their chip shops.

Walloon Brabant is therefore not present in this top 15, a little surprise all the same especially when we know that it is the chip shop “Pattou” who won the show “Meilleur Friterie” broadcast on RTL tvi a few months ago.
