Passionate about animals, Melanie Jahan loves taking care of them so much that she made it her career, as a groomer and pet-sitter at home.

With her traveling grooming salon set up in her truck, how did she reconcile her love for animals and her work?

-Atlantique: a traveling service

Trained in groomingto FIRST AID canine, feline and equine (PSCF and PSE) and holder of a certificate of knowledge for companion animals of dog and cat species (ACACED), at 26 years old, Mélanie Jahan created The Little Wolvesand traveling grooming service;

In her truck converted into a grooming salon, she travels to the homes of animal owners, on a intervention zone of 15 to 20 km.

Inside his professional vehicle, everything is designed for comfort dogsin order to be able to receive them whether they are small or large:

I had my truck fitted out to accommodate dogs in the best conditions. There is a bathtub with a door and an electric table that lifts up by itself to make it easier to bathe larger dogs like Bernese mountain dogs.

Previously employed at the Monsieur l'Humain feline pension Casson near , Mélanie first did an internship as a groomer before starting her business:

“I always knew I wanted to work with animals and as I have a dog myself and I was grooming him, I had this idea,” she says.

It also offers a service of home care for dogs, cats, horses, and farm animals and travels in 27 communes around Nort-sur-Erdre, including Saffré, Puceul, Héric, Abbaretz, Blain and Fay-de-Bretagne.

Animal welfare above all

The well-being of the animal is my priority, if the dog has too many knots and stuck hair for example, I shear it rather than hurting it by trying to untangle it. Tangles often come from a lack of brushing by the owner.
