The APF France handicap delegation from Aude organized a memorable solidarity New Year's Eve in Trèbes, bringing together beneficiaries, volunteers and residents of the Cloître residence in Narbonne. The MAF exhibition hall, made available free of charge by the municipality, hosted this festive event, which embodies the spirit of solidarity and sharing. Around fifty participants took advantage of this warm day, thanks to the financial support of the Fondation de France, the Aude departmental council, Domitia habitat, and the City.
Upon arrival, the friendly atmosphere was palpable. The participants were welcomed by Claude Galy, Pierrette Fayet, Christophe Moulin, members of the board of directors, and Paola de la Torre, territorial director of Aude and Pyrénées-Orientales. A beauty stand allowed everyone to fix their hair or make-up before the traditional souvenir photo. After a warm aperitif and welcome speeches, the guests began to eat, served by four young civic services from Unis Cité, who came from the Lézignan association. Between the main course and dessert, a blind test musical put everyone in a good mood, followed by a karaoke session, where the singing talents were revealed. The Trebean host Cédric Facompré (Prestige animations) punctuated the day brilliantly. Each participant received a Christmas gift, carefully placed under a tree decorated for the occasion. This New Year's Eve reflects the mutual aid values of APF France handicap, by creating a space of meeting and joy for people with disabilities and their families. This event proves that together, it is possible to build a more inclusive and warm society, where everyone finds their place.
