In Seine-et-Marne, one of the winners of the 2025 label, Tourism craftsman, is from Moisenay! THE concours was organized by the Seine-et-Marnaise Chamber of Trades and Crafts and by Seine-et-Marne Attractiveness. Among the candidates: there were 5 food artisans and 10 arts artisans.

Mosenian Willy Desiles is once again in the spotlight. Having launched his brand of arranged rum 3 years ago, he continued in fact the rewards. After winning two gold medals for its clementine-cinnamon and ginger-combava spirits at the Women’s International Trophy 2024. Atelier Desiles also obtained a gold medal at the prestigious international competition Spirits Selection 2024 for its raspberry-Vanilla formula.

A family story

The history of Atelier Desiles is first of all a family story. Arriving at the age of 24 from his native territory, ReunionWilly Desiles, 38, perpetuates the family tradition of arranged rum, of which this grandiose island in the Indian Ocean is the cradle. Son and grandson of a sugar cane cutter in Sainte-Suzanne, the trader draws his inspiration from ancestral Reunionese customs.

“I accompanied my father and my grandfather who worked in the sugar cane fields. It is therefore natural that discussions around sugar cane were essential in our family meals, he explains. I grew up in this world, then I discovered the careful production of great rums and the mysteries of aging in the cellars of the Bois-Rouge distillery. »

Natural ingredients

Without additives and coloring, its rums are produced in an artisanal waybased on natural ingredients, including fresh seasonal fruits and hand-picked spices. “The compositions are handmade and the limited production guarantees the quality of the products, mixtures and flavors for an invitation to travel,” assures Willy Desiles. He designs and manufactures this emblematic drink in a human-sized workshop, located in the village of Moisenay.

With an order book already full for 2025, this new year promises to be full of promise for Atelier Desiles. “We plan to enrich our offer,” announces the craftsman. New products will emerge in order to diversify our ranges and work in collaboration with other distilleries in the Indian Ocean or the Antilles. »
