Porsche 2025, all the new features to come

Porsche is preparing to experience a period of great change. The German manufacturer is preparing to present its first electric 718 Boxster and Cayman, as well as the first battery-powered .

These models have already been announced, but during the year 2025 we will be able to better understand the plans of the brand, which admitted that “the transition to electric cars is taking longer than expected.”

The main focus is on the Macan, which is currently only offered in an electric version, but which could also become endothermic in the near future. While waiting to find out more, here are the new features expected for Porsche in 2025.

Both based on the PPE platform jointly developed by Porsche and Audi, the electric Boxster and Cayman will have a traditional look, although they are expected to sport the four-element headlight graphics seen on the Taycan and Macan EV.

Rear- and all-wheel drive versions and power outputs above 500 hp are expected. The adoption of a different battery to that of the Macan is likely, which, at 95 kWh, could be too large for two-seater sports cars.

Tests of the new generation of the Cayenne, which will be offered with thermal, plug-in hybrid and even 100% electric engines, began a few months ago. Porsche's technical basis will be the updated EPP platform with 800-volt architecture for ultra-fast charging.

The V8 will be retained on certain versions, revised to meet the new emissions limits. No official information has yet been given on the performance of the car, which should be revealed at the end of 2025.
