Dakar, Dec 24 (APS) – Twenty-five active and retired agents from the Ministry of the Environment and Ecological Transition were decorated Tuesday in the various national orders, noted the APS.
These agents received their decoration badges from the Minister of the Environment and Ecological Transition, Daouda Ngom, during a ceremony of presentation of wishes and presentation of decorations in the different national orders (National Order of the Lion and Order of Merit) to agents who have distinguished themselves through their professional activities and services rendered to the Nation.
The event took place in the ministry's amphitheater in the presence of 230 agents admitted to assert their rights to a retirement pension since 2020.
''To the twenty-five recipients to whom I have just presented a decoration, in the name of the President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye, Grand Master of the Order, I extend to you my warm congratulations and invite each of us to take your as an example,'' said Daouda Ngom.
“This ceremony constitutes beyond republican tradition, a privileged moment to pay tribute, in the presence of colleagues, parents and friends, to deserving fellow citizens who have worked, with self-sacrifice and dedication, in the fulfillment of their priesthoods.” , he added.
He congratulated the 230 agents admitted to assert their rights to a retirement pension since 2020.
Still addressing the recipients, he noted that the entire Nation is grateful to them for “all the good and loyal services rendered at the cost of enormous efforts which can go as far as the supreme sacrifice”.
