A motorist hits a 90-year-old pedestrian
The accident took place Monday in Territet. The victim was seriously injured. The police are appealing for witnesses.

Monday around 1700, a serious traffic accident involving a pedestrian and a motorist took place on avenue de Chillon in Territet (Commune of Montreux). Seriously injured, the victim was taken by ambulance to hospital. The police are appealing for witnesses.
For a reason that the investigation will have to determine, a 35-year-old motorist who was traveling in the direction of Montreux, hit a pedestrian who was crossing the road at a location which has yet to be determined.
Following the impact, the pedestrian, a 90-year-old Swiss national living in the region, was seriously injured. Emergency services dispatched to the scene took care of the victim and transported him by ambulance to hospital.
The public prosecutor was informed and the duty prosecutor opened a criminal investigation. He entrusted the investigations to specialists from the traffic unit of the Vaud Gendarmerie.
This event required the intervention of two police patrols and an ambulance from the Association Sécurité Riviera (ASR), as well as specialists from the traffic unit of the Vaud Gendarmerie.
The police are appealing for witnesses. Anyone able to provide information or information about the accident that occurred is asked to call 021 343 15 10 or contact the nearest police station.
