The next edition of the “Chants contre Champs” festival will be held from November 13 to 16, 2025 in Angers, in the Hauts de Saint-Aubin district. This event, which highlights the links between music and image, is in its second edition after a successful first event in March 2024.

Founded by Yves Maguin, filmmaker and audiovisual trainer, the festival is supported by several personalities from the artistic world, including dubbing actors Philippe Peythieu and Véronique Augereau, respectively godfather and godmother of the event, as well as the French voices of Homer and Marge Simpson for 35 years.

A competition focused on image and sound

The festival program will consist of a competition of short films and music videos, bringing together between 15 and 20 films and up to 12 clips, broadcast in several sessions.

« Each winner will leave with a trophy, and special mentions could be awarded by the jury, made up of cinema and music professionals. », explains Yves Maguin.

Several prizes will be awarded, including best musical creation, best short film, best music video, as well as best original music.

« To compete in the competition, we have already opened our call for films, whether they are short films with original music or music videos “, he continues. Registrations are done online until May 31, 2025.

For this new edition, “Chants contre Champs” is moving to the Hauts de Saint-Aubin district thanks to a partnership with the Collectif du Lieu Artistique et Culturel (CLAC) and the Neighborhood House.
