After two successful editions in 2020 and 2021, the Commission of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA) is organizing the third edition of the “Tremplin Start-Up UEMOA” Initiative under the theme “Creative and digital marketing to promote the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI)”.
This initiative aims to encourage business innovation through support for innovative start-ups, with a view to diversifying and densifying the economic fabric of the community area.
In collaboration with the UEMOA Regional Consular Chamber (CCR-UEMOA) and the national Consular Chambers, a competition was organized, at the end of which the ten (10) best national start-up projects were selected, then submitted to a regional competition.
In total, five (05) prizes of excellence were put into play for the best projects in the regional selection ranking. Twenty-four (24) incentive prizes will also be awarded, three (03) per UEMOA member state, as well as bonuses to promotional structures supporting start-ups.
In addition to the three encouragement prizes, Senegal won the 4th regional prize with the start-up YOMBAL SA SOXLA XPRESS. The ceremony will take place on Monday, December 23, 2024 from 9 a.m., at the Pullman hotel in Dakar.
