Nearly 3,200 people took part in the solo or relay races. The vast majority respected the tradition which requires participants to dress as Santas and Mothers Christmas. The first red and white competitors made their appearance in the middle of the afternoon in town. Some do not hesitate to drink drinks that are not always energizing.

The numerous relay teams had met shortly before in a crowded Place Verdun. This was the case for agents of the Community of Communes of Luys en Béarn (CCLB) who rarely miss the opportunity to get together. Around twenty civil servants set off, Christmas hats on their heads.

“The race was very wet but there was a great atmosphere, as always with the music at the start, the encouragement throughout the course,” recalls Sophie De Ana – Dupont, communications manager for the community. “It rained the whole time, our feet were soaked but luckily we had heated seats in the car! » And some meals planned for the return to Serres-Castet.
