AS Cannes (N2) produced one of the sensations of the 32nd finals of the Coupe de France. The Alsatian coach of the Riviera club Damien Ott and his players eliminated Grenoble, a Ligue 2 club, (3-2) this Saturday.
Puy-en-Velay (N2) did even better by masterfully dismissing (4-0) Montpellier, bottom of Ligue 1. Alsatian winger Yann Diebold, still at FRH last season, scored the club's third goal ponot.

Saint-Brieuc treats itself to Le Havre
Stade Briochin, a National 2 club, eliminated Le Havre, a resident of Ligue 1, 1-0 in 32es of the Coupe de France final on Saturday in Saint-Brieuc.
Dominant in the first period, the Breton amateurs let up during the second, but took advantage of a corner to head the only goal of the game thanks to Stan Janno (80e).
For Le Havre, 17e in Ligue 1, this is another poor performance, the fourth consecutive defeat in all competitions.
André Ayew's partners, despite a goal disallowed for an unclear handball from Emmanuel Sabbi in the first period, produced nothing from the match, except in short sequences.
Unlike Stade Briochin, in its packed Fred-Aubert stadium, very solid in defense, showing a lot of desire from the first minutes of the match.
Brest battered, Toulouse close to the exit
Brest escaped without incident but without shining (1-0) from its trip to La Roche-sur-Yon, another resident of National 2.
Still diminished by injuries, with only two valid professional central defenders, the Bretons took their hosts very seriously, even if they trembled at the very end of the match.
It was especially in the very last minutes that the amateurs of La Roche-sur-Yon made the pros waver, by Chérif Diallo (88e) and Anthony Civet at the end of added time (90e+5).
Unfortunately for them, the Vendéens, who did not concede much to Brest throughout the match, were punished at the end of the first period.
Ajorque decisive
Following a recovery from Jordan Amavi, Romain Faivre let his cross pass behind Ludovic Ajorque, whose powerful strike could not be sufficiently repelled by goalkeeper Imbadillahi Ahamada (0-1, 40e).
Winner of the event in 2023, Toulouse had to fight until the penalties to escape the trap set by Hauts-Lyonnais, a National 3 team.
