(Betclic Elite): JDA loses, again, in the money time against

The weeks follow one another and are similar for a Burgundian team which once again lacked composure and control in money-time.

The first quarter was sluggish for an approximate team which multiplied the number of lost balls and missed attempts.
Legname's men managed to find the path to the basket following a few sharp penetrations but they struggled to establish a real offensive rhythm. On the other side of the floor, the Burgundians pay for their loss of balls which are immediately sanctioned by the Strasbourgers. The first ten minutes were clear with the visitors logically taking control of the match (16-25).
The locals are dominated but the McDuffie / Sengfelder duo decide to break out of their box to restart the Burgundian machine. The two interiors, in their characteristic styles, manage to break the Alsatian defensive pressure by finding skill on penetrations and behind the arc. In defense, the Dijonnais show their muscles and close ranks in order to limit the SIG to 13 points. At the break, the match was balanced (38-42).

Returning from the locker room, the two teams are neck and neck with and Dijon responding blow for blow. The Burgundians rely on a much more aggressive and anticipatory ultra defense which manages to steal a few balls. The entire JDA collective present with Ducoté, Ware, Holston and a particularly sharp and aggressive Hrovat with the ball in hand. The two teams maintain co status at the end of the third quarter (62-66).
The last ten minutes will be of extreme intensity on a physical and emotional level between two teams who are fully engaged in battle. The JDA continues to rely on the versatility of its collective to find points in attack. Ducoté, Hrovat and Holston make the three-point powder speak, McDuffie goes for points on the throwing line and the Ware/Sengfelder duo imposes itself in the paint. La Jeanne is back in the game but the lack of accuracy in the last seconds will cost the Legname group another victory.
Phil Booth will commit a terrible offensive foul which will allow SIG to regain possession and then convert points on the throw line. However, after the free throws, Legname's men will have the opportunity to win overtime but Gregor Hrovat will miss his long distance attempt.
