In a typical 17th century cabinet of curiosities, filled with objects and surprises that are sources of daydreaming, the performers give voice to the famous fabulist and his sketched characters with such humor and truthfulness.
The Cicada and the Ant, The Fox and the Stork, The Crow and the Fox… resonate in a completely different way in our ears and are enhanced by the magnificent voices and acting talent of mezzo-soprano Marie Blanc and baritone Philippe Scagni.
Thanks to the crafted music of these miniature operas, young and old will be amazed and (re)discover La Fontaine's texts, entertaining and profound, whose sharp words say a lot about human nature.
This show integrates the programming of the 3rd edition of the Festival PIANOS D'HI(V)ER ET D'AUJOURD'HUI designed in partnership with the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Versailles Grand Parc.
