Christmas is fast approaching but the boss of Lorraine has not yet said his last word. The program for the 2024 edition of the Saint-Nicolas celebrations continues, with a final weekend of festivities in Nancy on Saturday December 21 and Sunday December 22.
Firstly, it is the return of the “Gare à l’Art” craft market which welcomes, for two days, around forty artists to the Town Hall, Place Stanislas. The appointment not to be missed for small, original end-of-year gifts.
On Saturday afternoon, La Bande à Bonnet offers a new edition of its winter tavern at Parc Bonnet. On the program: children’s “boom”, creative workshops and distribution of candy. At the end of the day, go to Dusaulx square and the Les Aulnes panoramic tower to celebrate the winter solstice. The dancers of the Osmoses company, spread across these two locations in the city, will deliver a poetic street show through interposed dance messages.
At the same time, the Opéra National de Lorraine is offering a celebration of the end of year holidays in music around an Advent choral repertoire inspired by the Anglo-Saxon tradition.
Finally, at the MJC Bazin, live entertainment is in the spotlight with, on Friday evening, “Couac et la princesse Kassekou” by the Bulles de Rêves company; on Saturday, a reading of Christmas stories by the Plein Feux company in the morning and “Tales from Fingertips” by the Incognito company in the afternoon; and, on Sunday, the “Christmas stories to chew” by Nickelle & Bazar from the L’Ouvre-Boîtes collective.
