The site has been abandoned for ten years. Several destinies have been imagined for it since its acquisition by Bourges Plus in 2018, such as the reception of the community hotel. In recent years, the agglomeration has designed a unique project, with an environmental dimension, on the former site of the cereal producer Axéréal, a place which will also take on the role of a cultural and entertainment center: the establishment of facilities intended to improve the quality of urban rainwater discharge to protect marshes.
In its final phase of construction, the site, which aims to showcase what Bourges Plus can do in the integrated management of rainwater, was the subject, this Thursday, of a visit orchestrated by the Permanent Center for Initiatives for the Brenne-Berry Environment (CPIE) as part of its “technical visits”, highlighting, for technicians, elected officials, and students of the IUT, solutions commented on by those who implement them
