Laëtitia Caron is a self-taught stylist. In her workshop-boutique in Liffré (Ille-et-Vilaine), where she moved in 2022, she retouches and sells pieces considered outdated, to which she gives new life. The principle is called upcyclingupcycling or valuable recycling in French.

At her place, customers can buy clothes or bring them directly to have them modified and upgraded. “I include people in the creations, with their desires, indicates the stylist. For my personal creations, I like to integrate positive messages. »

L’upcycling is part of a desire to fight against waste, fast-fashion and overproduction, described by the stylist as dramatic ». In addition to the ethical, environmental and human benefits of valuable recycling, Laëtitia Caron specifies that there is also a benefit linked to well-being.

“I have a real attachment to clothes, she assures. They have a history with the person who wore them, with often strong memories. They are linked to the emotional states that we go through at each stage of life. We often choose our clothes based on our state of mind. »
