In order to simplify the lives of users for these end-of-year celebrations in 2024, the Carcassonne Agglo transport authority is setting up free lines to reach the main commercial areas and the city center of the Aude capital.
“What if you did your holiday shopping by bus? It’s free!” During this end-of-year holiday season, Carcassonne Agglo has decided to introduce free transport for Christmas and New Year purchases on two specific bus lines, on Sundays December 22 and 29. The routes, stations and timetables of these two lines (DIM1 and DIM2) are available on the website of the Régie de Transport de Carcassonne Agglo: https://rtca.carcassonne-agglo.fr (news section: DIM1 and DIM2, free Sunday buses).

The first will go from the Z. A. de la Ferraudière to the Rocadest shopping center, obviously passing through the city center (round trip); the second will go from the Z. A. de Pont-Rouge to the Rocadest shopping center, also serving the center (round trip)… But that’s not all. The little electric train from Carcassonne Agglo will take people for free (!) to the three Magic of Christmas sites, from December 24 to 31 inclusive (except the 25th), from 2 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., with one passage every twenty approximately minutes. The little train will tour the city and serve the Chénier, Jacobins and Dôme sectors.
