If he continues his activity of traveling wine merchant on the markets, François-Xavier Renaudin adds a string to his bow by opening a permanent cellar Epicurean Friendsin Le Mans ().

Open since November 2, its bar and cellar also hosts courses on spirits or even in mixology.

“A neighborhood cellar where people can come together”

It’s a project he’s been mulling over for a while. Since the beginning of November 2024, François-Xavier Renaudin has opened his cave fixe after starting as a traveling wine merchant with his truck “Fernand” (see video below in 2021).

The objective is to be a neighborhood cellar, in the middle of the pavilions, where people can meet. The neighborhood’s customers play the game. Afterwards, we will see over time whether it matches or not.

Its cellar is also a bar. “I want to continue with this philosophy: we can come and see a good rugby match, have a cocktail and we don’t worry. »

Spirits, wines… but also cocktails!

In his cellar, the man who cut his teeth in palaces, hosts thematic courses. Since the opening, he has offered them around whiskey, cognac and rum, wine… and the next one will be devoted to cocktails.

“These are casual courses to pass on my passion,” explains the man who, at the start of his career, set out to be a maître d’hôtel.

According to him, this is the little extra of his business, the place given to cocktails. “I have a lot of requests about mixology. For the workshops, I show and they can go behind the bar to prepare the cocktail. Nothing like doing to remember. »

It offers spirits, hundreds of wine references, bubbles, cocktails and two local beers in its cellar: the Hairy one et Planet 9.

Its first major event: the centenary of the 24 Hours of Le Mans

After his presence on the markets (which is still relevant today), François-Xavier Renaudin developed the event part of its activity by offering its services for weddings or even bachelor parties for young boys or girls.

Consecration for this amateur kart driver is his participation in events organized on the circuit by the Automobile Club de l’Ouest (ACO). And not least! “My first big event was the centenary of 24 Hours of Le Mans ! » Others followed and were an acceleratorto allow him to open his fixed cellar.

In 2025, the retailer will be present at the 24-hour car, motorcycle and truck races, at the Le Mans Classic and the Classic Days.

The cellar is located at 46, rue de Douce Amie, in Le Mans. The wine merchant continues the usual markets. Find it on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.
