In , the multipurpose hall of the Saint-Pierre Legion was inaugurated after eleven months of work

The new multipurpose hall of the Saint-Pierre Legion was inaugurated on Friday December 13, 2024 in , in the presence of members and elected officials. The demolition of the old premises was carried out in January, over a period of fifteen days. The companies on the building reconstruction site then mobilized until June. “Since last summer, 38 volunteers from different sections, between 60 and 88 years old, have taken over according to their schedules for a total of 5,524 hours. They have done remarkable work in their respective skills: digger, mason, plasterer, carpenter, electrician, plumber, tiler, painter and even welder,” explains Brigitte Morvan, secretary of the multi-sports club created 140 years ago.

Better reception conditions

Also, 270 people participated in the prize pool launched by the association. Activities (raffle, designer market, pétanque competition, takeaway meals, sale of wine and vegetable baskets) were also set up to raise additional funds.

From now on, activities will be able to continue in better conditions. The Chandavant group, from the Brest Retirees’ Office, and the students of the current music school La Luciole continue to be welcomed in the premises.
