The NPA Aude (11) met on Friday to meet again after the legislative campaign, to welcome new members and to form the new Carcassonne committee.
There were 17 of us, including 7 new members of the NPA. The discussion started with a round table, a short presentation of each person, just to get to know each other and know where we come from. It was very nice and we discovered that one of our oldest comrades (80 years old) had met Daniel Bensaïd at university and had participated with Alain Krivine in the actions of May 68 before becoming a university teacher in his turn in Toulouse .
We have representatives currently involved in the 3 NFP committees of the department: Narbonne, Carcassonne and Limoux. Many of us are also invested in trade unionism, in particular the FSU for National Education. Others are invested in feminism with the militant dances of the Rosies, against the Palestinian war, or engaged on the ecological question because of the problems linked to water (including drought) in Aude and in the NFP for future municipal elections in the Haute Vallée and perhaps also in Carcassonne.
We decided to resume the auction sale of the newspaper with the sale of pancakes at free prices from time to time, and to invest in equipment to be autonomous during our actions in the field. The next actions will only take place outdoors. We must keep the momentum created by the arrival of Philippe Poutou to try to recruit new members. To sum up, it was an excellent evening of meetings and reunions, full of exchanges!
